NOT PICTURED; Martha Johnson, Secretary. The Central Junior Tri-Hi-Y was organized for the first time this year. This group of eighth, ninth, and tenth grade girls worked hard through- out the year, guided by hardworking officers and a faithful sponsor. At Christmas the members remembered the soldiers in Viet Nam with cards. The club also helped the SCA raise money for the curtain fund by selling candy at basketball games. The climax of the year came when the club spent the day at Staunton River Park on a picnic. All in all the first year for the Junior Tri-Hi-Y of Central High School was both pros- perous and rewarding. President Elaine Stables conducts a meeting. 105
