Ad and Subscription Salesmen. The Clinic echoed with sounds of a click- ing typewriter and scurrying feet as the SWORD AND SHIELD staff worked fever- ishly to meet the deadline. But all the scur- rying and rushing would not have produced a pictorial annual without the help of Mr. Jimmy Gee, our flashing photographer. As the deadline arrived and material was sent to the publisher, the staff had fond hopes that the 1967 SWORD AND SHIELD would be the impressive example by which many more Central Annuals would follow. The S.C.A. was organized this year as a planning council to organize future activi- ties in the school. The council elected Cas- sandra Wilkes to serve as president and Di- ane Jones to serve as secretary. Because the S.C.A. Council has worked hard as a planning- organization, they are proud of their accom- plishments. The main event of the year was the writing and ratification of an S. C. A. Constitution. The S. C. A. sponsored a Christ- mas assembly and was proud to decorate the first Christmas tree at Central. The first successful year was climaxed with the elec- tion and installation of new officers for the coming year. Now all we have to do is wait for Santa! Ready at the polls. 94
