The news of his death was a great shock to us all and was received everywhe!.wi1h feelings of deepest grief and sincere sympathy for his parents. are Pg Fred was very active in school life. Last year he was the hardest workerque Business Staff of the Spokesman and secured the greatest number of advertisein for the Commencement issue. He was a member of the second team of the football squad' and was considered a probable member of next year's varsity team. In addition to this, he was a good student., a member of the Olympian Club, amd had held several class offices. , . We have all gained something from our association with Fred. He set such a wonderful example of what a young man should be that our lives have been enriched by contact with him. Such a life is complete, no matter how many years it lasts. We shall never forget his cheery words, his happy smile, and his all-avorund' service. 8 '49-
