George is go-.ng to Carne- gie Tech to take up a course in engineering. PURL ANDERSON Football Q2-3-49, 'rrig 449 Purl has made a glorious record for himself during his too brief stay at Central Hi. His name has been carved deeply in the Red and Blat-k hall of fame-for was it not he who saved the day last Thanksgiving by throw- ing the Academy fullback for at loss when Central's goal line was threatened? He was easily the best lineman in Erie last season, He was. in fact. so good that he left for Carnegie Tech in February so he can make their var- sity tnot the freshman terml next season.
