Mascots4Chris Phillips and Patsy Harrington. The Class of '46 entered Central High School in the fall of 1943, a group of boys and girls from many different schools. All joined together and entered into all school activities. such as football games, basketball games. the sale of bonds and stamps, and all other drives and campaigns. The adviser was Mr. Otto. Dahlem. In the junior year a class party was held at the Service Men's Club. For the first time in many years the Junior Class alone sponsored the Junior-Senior Dance. Decorating the gym for this dance gave David Ivey, Mary Jane Hurt, and their committee the experience, for decorating for the Commencement exercises. The Junior Marshals ushered at Commencement and at many other programs held during the year. The class took an active part in all school activities and collected junior class dues IOOW. Mrs. Frances Whitaker acted as adviser during the junior year. In the senior year Mrs. Frances Whitaker and Miss Margaret DeVinny were advisers. On April 4th, the Senior Open House was, held at the Service Men's Club. Adelaide Foil and Bill Fowler were in charge of the entertainment. Commencement exercises could not be held in the stadium as it was being repaired, -but were held in the Armory Auditorium.
