W D , M At the time the Annual Went to press, students Were buying a P-51 Mustang. The Minute Man Flag Was flying over the school. Chairmen of the Stamp Com- mittee Were Jane Scarborough, first semes- ter, and Anne Seanor, second semester, with Miss DeVinny as adviser. Alto- gether 3l25,000 Worth of Bonds and Stamps Were bought through the school during the year. For bringing in scrap during the scrap drive, Central students were given a ride in a jeep provided by Morris Field. The three paper drives were success- ful. There were approximately l2,000 pounds of paper collected with almost 33100 made for the Student Council. The first semester chairman and a member of the committee, Marcia Bierman and Bill Little, respectively, are shown in the pic- ture. The second semester chairman was Mildred Graham. Miss Eleanor Markham served as adviser. Roy McKnight Won the title of Best Fighter in the City Intramural Boxing Tournament. The dates of the fights, which were held in the Armory Audi- torium, Were January 31 and February l and 2. VIRGINIA AGNEW.
