The bear goes on! The instrumentalists, under the direction of Mr. Steve Scherer, proved octive this year. During football season, the Color Guard, and Fiog Corps performed or every home game. The bond and orchestra worked hard raising money through 0 corwosh, candy sole, and a gourmet nut sole. The money went toword new uniforms costing over $30,000. The Concert Bond, and Pep Bond, and Concert Orchestra held 0 Christmas concert in December that was 0 success. In Aprii the groups put on 0 spring concert The orchestra, sponsored by Youth Resources, performed in 0 community nursing home several times. The Concert Bond competed in the district bond and orchestra contest held in April. in January, many individuals and groups portici- pared in the soio-ensemble contest held or the University of Evans- ville. The participants also held 0 recitol prior to the contest for friends and relatives. In addition to oil their other activities, the instrumentalists provid- ed 0 Pep Bond or every home bosektboli game, and the Flog Girls presented the flags. Director Steve Scherer says that this year was one to grow and buiid.
