GETTING into the car for driv- er's education can be a very scary situation, but junior Jes- sica Carey seems confident. MRS. WHEELER gives some helpful sewing tips to clothes and textiles stu- dent Shaley Jones. FRESHMEN Health students practice the invaluable life sa ving technique of C.P.R. CHS students learn for their own good Central offers many classes that students may take to im- prove their lives: classes that teach them fitness, nutrition, self reliance, and defensive driving Students not only learn how to help themselves, but also learn different ways to enjoy their time. Students who take gym have a va- time sports Students in other classes such as these can learn practical skills like cooking and sewing. Some students even learn life saving techniques such as CPR. All of these students learn things that will help them now and in the fu- ture, riety of classes to choose from, They can dance, exercise, lift weights, and even learn how to play a number of team and life- DRIVER'S education stu- dents get ready to head out on a driving excur- sion. They seem ta be en- joying themselves so far. Letls hope theylre still smiling when they return. COOKING is definitely something that these students can use for the rest of their lives. Creativity in the works Being creative has always been a great way to express a person's personality At Central, this creativity can be found in classes like jewelry, ar- chitectural drafting, choir, orchestra, band and graphic arts. These classes as well as many others . are not based on memorizing or reciting. In- stead, they are based on a persones individual abil- ities to accomplish their personal best. Senior Dana Wedel is re- ally fired up for herjewel- ry class. Freshmen Tammy Crowley and Kendra Boyd seem intent on mas- tering the violin - 30 Academics - Senior Kirk Swedenburg concentrates on making every line perfect in ar- chitectural drafting. Graphic arts student Tony Kerney seems to re- ally enjoy his work. THE MALE members of concert choir concentrate on trying to make every ooh perfect.
