Foreign Bears Four foreign exchange stu- dents visited Central this year. Patrick Prager was asked what he liked best about America. Patrick replied, Hall of the peo- ple I met . .T football, and all the nice fast food places. Foreign Exchange students at Cen- tral this year were: Stephan Ton- trup, Tina Class, Patric Prayer. and Flavio Morales. Papa Bears, Devin Hunsucker and Gene Frank busily work in the concession stand to provide students with refreshments Bear Boosters that helped out during a football game were Peggy Koeler, Donna Cato, Nina Lindauer, and Sam Kirkwood. Coaching Bears best around Mike Owen, in only his second year as varsity football coach, compiled a record of 10-1; there- fore, earning him- self the honor of Coach of the Year by the Evansville Courier and Press. Paul Gries took his baseball team to the state finals - the first time in Centralts history. This accomplish- ment earned him the Runner-up Coach of the Year award in the state of Indiana. MAMA 8L PAPA Bears The baseball and football boost- ers worked in the concession stand during football and basketball games to earn money for their re- spective teams. The parents are very important to Central students. Our thanks to Moms and Dads! B-B-B-Beat Boxint Bears The group International Rap Association performed NCHS is Fresh at a pep assembly to get the crowd and football Bears ready for Jeffersonville. The group was one of several that performed at the NHS Talent Show the night before. IRA Member Phillip Floyd jams at a pep assembly for the football team.
