During the first week of school. a happy experience for all in Cen- tral was the visit of Wiecher Bergsma of Stein, llolland, for eight years our foster brother. His success in earning a Fulbright Travel Grant and an International Institute Scholarship for a year's study in this country gives Central real joy. VVe wish VViecher con- tinued success while here and on his return home. For the fifteenth year Central is sponsoring a child abroad through contributions during the Faster season. Vera Zingaretti of Italy, our ten-year-old foster sister, writes monthly to express the gratitude she and her family feel for our help. The Rome director ot' the Foster Parents' Plan reports Vera's health much improved dur- ing the two years ot' our sponsor- ship and her school work excellent.
