a tribute to miss oakley Miss Mary Ruth Oakley, sponsor of this year's class, was a very familiar sight to Seniors, as the door to Room 227 was always open to discuss any Senior's problem. No one was more willing to help our class than Miss Oakley. She spent many hours planning dances and parties. And when it came time to choose class rings, calling cards, and announcements, she offered us her wise advice. Our class has been very fortunate in having such a capable and willing sponsor to lead us through four of the most important years of our lives. For it not only is a time of learning, but it is in this time also, that we grow up. Each Senior can say with strong convictions that Miss 0akley's guidance and leadership have prepared us for the future with a bright and optimistic outlook on life.
