X51 X, J X P'- X X., -1 L1 'I mn la QYW. mx .ww- 4, mv --1 '18 'Ii-N. ir G A A GIRLS The G A A of Central High School held its first activity October 1 1956 which was a skating party held at the Fox Roller Rink in Elgin The initiation party for all new members took place at Barnes Woods near Burlington on October 3 1956 This was a combination werner roast and stunt night At this party the membership was boosted to sixty members The G,A.A. sponsored a bowling activity from October 4, 1956, to February 7, 1957, at Hampshire, To end the bowling season we entered the State Postal Bowling Tourna- ment, The following ten girls represented the Central G.A.A. in the tournament: Karen Hornyak, Janice Strausberger, Joan Donahue, Florence Altepeter, Gloria Hoffman, Evelyn Eggers, Charlotte Eggers, Jane Barnes, Janet Lake, and Donna Oleson. A square dance was held at the Plato Center Gym on March 30, 1957, to earn money to pay for awards, The G.A.A. closed its activities for the year by havinga party for the mothers, At this time awards were presented and the new officers were installed, This year has been very successful.
