Mr Kuchera leading the band an of Afycfzbllfzkas The District 301 Band, under the direction of Mr. Kuchera, has an average membership of sixty. Practices are held for eleven months every year During the past summer the band played at many outings including the Memorial Day activities at Malta the Pure Milk Picnic at Geneva and the Burlington Pic- nic at Burlington They marched in the Centennial Parades at Plano and at Maple Park For Homecoming in October the band played several marches At four basketball games the band gave short programs between games and during the half of the varsity game The Distnct Contest was held in April at St Charles As in the past three vears selected members of the band participated in the Annual Fox Valley Music Festival at West Aurora 'I'he Annual Spring Concert was held in May with solo and ensemble groups also on the program Wfqoreffes First row Manone Kadow Reca Watford Sandra Qualye Back row Jean Warren Jean Gilkey Betty Suddeth
