LeeRoy Iungwirth and Kenneth Butt didn't retum and Harold Gilkey and Ralph Mapes left shortly after the year started, Janet Martin transferred to St. Charles. ln December, Diane Oranger moved to Orland Park. New members of the class were: William Roser, Morris Payne, Benjamin and Ethel VanLue, Dale Fumess, and Tom Mc- Donough. At their first class meeting of the year, the following class officers were elected: President, Alan Olsong Vice President, Suzon Hitzerothg Secretary-Treasurer, Gene Scott. Dale Marshall, Patsy Long, and Alan Olson were Student Council members. Miss Hawkins and Mr. Weber were the class advisors. The Sophomore Class sponsored the 2nd Homecoming at Central. A Snake Dance was held on October 7, 1954. Frank Colson, and Beverly Anderson were crowned King and Queen before the football game with Genoa on October 8, 1954. The class also sponsored a formal dance on March 4, 1955. A senior girl was crowned Queen of the dance. Dale Fumess, Gene Scott, Gordon Schumacher, Skip Keller, Arnold Hampel, Ray Brammer, Roy Brammer, Paul Rowwald, Harvey Knoll, Chuck Westphal, and Wally Wiese were the Sophomore boys who played basketball and football this year.
