Sophamvrc 611155 History With the reopening of Central, the Sophomores were happy to resume school on August 28th. Roger Rogalski and Gerry Seward failed to return. Dick Marshall left this happy group after three weeks of school. Duane McCommont and Darwin Knudson left to rejoin different schools. New additions to enter the halls of Central were Janice Oli- ver and Gwen Alwin. Chosen as class officers were- President Ted Kohl- Vice President Bob Barnes' Secretary and Treasurer Joyce Miller Student Council leader chosen was Nancy Butts Miss Lawson and Mr Weber served as class advisors Participating in football were Bob Barnes Lynn Laseman Tom Keller and Donald Burnell The Sophomores in basketball were Rodney Burna Ted Kohl Albert Herrmann Bob Barnes Lynn Lasernan Donald Burnell I1rnMu1rhead Clarence Mobley Jim Hulke The class sponsored the first Homecoming Dance ever held at Central High At the half of the Hebron Central football game the king and queen were crowned The charming Nancy Herrmann was crowned with her king Charles Clark an outstanding player of the year After the game the undefeated Central team and others enyoyed a dance with the Don Roush orchestra This Just about concludes events of the Sophomore class except for the first Valen tine Dance ever held at Central on February 13 Madelyn Stiles was crowned the very lovely queen of the formal dance which was held in place of the traditional May Dance 'yr fx ally?
