junior 611155 ffistary When August 28 rolled around, the Class of '55 started their Junior year with twenty kids, but right after school started, Dave Granquist dropped and in January Jim Butt left. At our first feudin', fussin', and a-fightin' class meeting, we elected Wally Rohr- schneider as Presidentg Elaine Otto as Vice Presidentg Mary Meyer as Secretaryg Marie Undiener as Treasurerg and Beverly Anderson as our Student Council representative. They chose Mrs. Miller and Mr. Ganshirt to be the class advisors. The class sponsored an all-school skating party at DeKalb Roller Rink on November 19. They had another skating patty in South Elgin on April 5. About two weeks before Christmas vacation they received their class rings. From February 18 to 28 they sold magazines They had a mascot which was French Poodle The poodle s name was Maga Zine it was of a light blue color The boys that participated in football were Wally Rohrschneider Leo Lenschow and Leon Lenschow Wally Rohrschneider and Bill Paar were the only boys that played basketball from the Junior Class The class put on a very successful play in April The class also sponsored the traditional Junior Senior Prom at the Elgin Country Club on May 21 1954 Leaving now for a carefree summer we all plan to come back next year as Seniors and give the teachers Just as much trouble 9 O WALLY V M -AX' ROHRSCHNEIDER ll 0 v 9.
