Aside from their numerous other duties, Miss Joyce Peck and Miss Lillian Weller must choose the proper text book for Senior English classes. Their mutual interest in the English department gives Thomas Davey and Ernest Cole opportunity for discussion. English is the instrument for Specialized training is required for En- glish instruction, iust as specialized tools are required in automobile production. Teaching English requires specialization in reading skills, communication skills, and in appreciation of the English language and its literature. These instructors, in a sense specialized tools, help students, the materials, under- stand and appreciate these skills. A teacher's work is never done! Russell Morcum takes time to compare graded papers with those of fellow English instructors, Mrs. Celia Armstrong and Mrs. Virginia Roberson.
