CLASS OF 1942 IIOR OFFICERS-Bill McTaggart, president: Maxine Mc- v, secretary: Marilyn Bundles. treasurer: Iohn Watt, a-president. The Senior Board of Directors is composed of the Senior class officers and a representative from each of the Senior groups. This board is the unit oi government for the Senior class. The officers elected this year were: Bill McTaggart, president, Iohn Watt, vice-president: Maxine McKay, secretary: and Marilyn Bundles, treasurer. The main purpose of the board is to acquaint the Senior class with the policies to be maintained by it. Miss Dietrich and Miss Mabel Pinel were the advisors for the group. There are no regular meetings, but when something comes up that is oi importance to the class as a whole, a meeting is called. The Senior Board of Directors has charge of the arrangements for graduation - Senior announce- ments, baccalaureate, and preparations for the Senior dinner dance. These arrangements are completed by committees.

STUDENT COUNCIL STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICERS--Douglas Mintline, vice president: Mary Danger, recording secretary: lean Chisholn president: Shirley Ienson. corresponding secretary. Breaking all precedence in Central's history, Iean Chisholm was the first girl ever to be elected president of the Student Union. The other officers selected were: Douglas Mintline, vice-president: Shirley Iensen, corresponding secretary: and Mary Ranger, recording secretary. Members of the council from the three classes aided the officers in fulfilling various projects. The advisor for the council was Miss Grace Pinel. In addition to maintaining its regular business and its permanent com- mittees, the council took on other duties. A special committee was appointed to make plans for increasing the Student Union membership next year. In doing its part for national defense the council put on an extensive paper drive in which the goal was set for 35,000 pounds. Tubes of all kinds were also collected. The money received from these papers and tubes was used to purchase air-raid equipment and war savings bonds. These bonds will be a reserve fund that will be used to build new tennis courts after the war. Records were also bought for the noon-hour dancing in the girls' gym.
