We have participated in the election of homecoming queen, we initiated an Education Awareness Week in which we honored individuals we felt had attempted to work with Centralites in creating this positive image. The recipients were Essex County Executive Peter Shapiro, Mrs. Laura Baker, and Mrs. Joyce Moore. We also initiated a poll for teachers. And we participated in the voter registration drive held January 8, 1980. This has not been an easy year to motivate student involvement, but we feel with five months left, there still is time to try.
