Anything said in the following is purely coincidental and should be blamed on the printer. Teachers can go on with the reading of this document under their own risk; 1. First of all. to our successors, we leave our worn books, our wornout term requirements, our worn out teachers land I mean Worn!, our newly painted building, our wonderful cafeteria, and also we leave you all our worn out excuses and alibis. 2. To our adviser Miss Palmer, we leave a big photograph of herself to hang in the Auditorium and a line of soldiers to obey her command of ATTENTION”. 3. Mr. Lewis. Ah! yeah. All written excuses will be left to this man. We leave also a new batch of young vigorous people who will fight for their rights. 4. To Mr. Ralston, we leave, (in a low pitched voice) that everlasting phrase. We will now pass to our classes”. 5. We mustn't forget the office staff. So we will just leave them in peace. Miss Gordon has our blessings for a more mannerly bunch of boys who collect the books from the book room. 6. To the English Department we leave several unmentionable things. However, there are some things which can be written, for instance, dead memory sheets, dead book reports, and dead MacBeth. 7. To our wonderful old History Department we leave a whole new book of some of the History that our class has made during the last term of our High School career. 8 Sis boom Bah, sis boom bah, all of these enchanting notes arc left to our music masterminds otherwise called the Music Department. 9. The Technical Department has been a great help in preparing our boys for the world of industry. Now they are ready to face and dig the largest ditch ever seen. 10. Gym. is here to stay, so let's make the best of it. But, PLEASE give the girls more time to dress and let the boys wash after the period is over. 11. Ha Ha. the commercialists thought they were going to get away without being seen, but we fooled you. After all you did for us with those bookkeeping papers and filing papers, and those old broken down machines, you cold hearted fellows and gals could never escape this little means of torture. 12. Whenever you smell a smell that stinks you will always be reminded of the Science Department. 13. Those mathematicians who go around yelling numbers and theorems are going to be picked up by the men in White Coats pretty soon. 14. Spain and Italy are beautiful countries with beautiful languages. Let's hope neither of those countries ever hear our students murder their languages. 15. Art!, Art!, what is life without Art? We don’t know, give us time to find out. will ya? 16. To the Freshman we leave a lot of good advice. Do not study too hard, for if will make you sick, and no employer wants to hire a sick employee. If you obtain good grades without study, then laugh heartily at all your teachers' jokes even though you are hearing them for the 1,000.CK)0.000.000th time, your teachers questions about the lesson after class, and give them an apple a day. Send them cards on all the holidays and carry lots of books. All the rest of our property, whatsoever and wheresoever, and of what nature, kind and quality, after the payment of all our debts and funeral expenses, we leave to you. In testimony whereof, we hereunto set our hand and seal, and declare this to be our Last Will and Testament, this 24th day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifty-one. The Class of June 1951 extends a big. appreciative, and sincere THANK YOU. Uu,aZ£J!? n t ner ? hat the Outline fields... • We are now about to emerge from our protected high school shelter and venture into a new type of life different from that which we have known. What the future holds for us we cannot tell; for, the future of everyone in these trying days is very uncertain. • The world of today is facing many problems. The fighting raging in the world has a direct bearing on our lives. We are at the present time confused about our futures and we do not know which way to turn. If the situation grows worse, we may be taken into the service; if it clears up, we can proceed to fulfill our future plans. • The greatest strain is the uncertainty which we all feel. We do not know what the outcome will be; nor do we know what is in store for us. We do know, however, that we will not meet the future unprepared. During the past few years we have been taught to think independently, to analyze our problems, and to seek the best solution. In the practical vocational field, Central has offered us many opportunities to prepare us for the business and industrial world. • This is the foundation on which our futures have been built; only time and experience can strengthen this foundation and our chances for future happiness and peace. 10 fAt. By unanimous decision. In spite of injuries and inexperienced ball players. Central was still rated one of the best teams in the City and won the Technical Trophy from East Side for the third consecutive year. . Coach SAL COMMISA Coach Sal Commisa came to Central, a graduate from the University of Notre Dame. Under his direction, Central won three city titles and lost only three of the city league games played in the past five years. Many thanks to this fine coach who has led Central’s teams to the height of football prominence! DON GABEL (26) Don worked up to the starting berth as a senior. Pat. a varsity guard for three years, really came into his own during the 1950 season playing consistently on the line. ART HOOPER (22) In 1948, Art played right halfback. Warren Winfield A big 6'5’' center, Warren played varsity ball during his senior year, as a very capable hooper . Doing a superb job, he turned out many outstanding players, and developed others who will someday make basketball history. The basketball season ended with Cen-teal's winning the championship in the City League Tournament. ROBERT REILLY Coach With the baseball season at the halfway mark, as we go to press, the Central squad has climbed to second place in the city. Coach Bob Reilly is proud of his boys, their team play, cooperation and sportsmanship. To date, the record shows seven wins and three losses. Lou Padula Second to none as a catcher. Lou received two varsity letters for his two year of playing. ‘?-,A Anthony (Zazx) Zaxzarino A veteran on the varsity team who has seen action for three seasons, Zazz holds a spot on the All-City team. He has received a gold baseball and three varsity letters. Joe Dinardo Despite keen competition Joe has been able to hold his third base position on the Varsity. Joe is a good sport and letterman. Mike DcRogatis Mike's hard work and wonderful pitching have earned him a spot on the All-City championship team, a gold baseball and three letters. Central’s well-coached and trained swimmers have ended the season with disappointment, but not with regret. Although they did not win the city championship, they have profited. Individual swimmers became stars, champions, and good sportsmen. This, at Central, is worth all the time and effort placed upon sports. IRVING LEVIN COACH 88 TRACK and CROSS COUNTRY TEAM, BILL BAUER.
