From Principal to Parent Мау 31, 1934. Dear Parents: The purpose of life is to achieve worthy goals through rational, normal self-development of both inherited, mental and physical capacities together with acquired. attitudes for decent, considerate appreciations of civic and social duties. Too often in this day, people lose sight of the fact that obstacles and diffi- culties in the way of successful achievement must be surmounted by fair means only. Fairness in all dealings is the true and lasting key to the best in life. Conscience must be ever keenly alive to discern the straight and narrow path of right doing and make us ready to follow it. All must be straightforward, noble-minded, above-board and directed to achieving success in life by honorable means. As а corollary to this, we will always find success close at hand when it is based upon right dealing. Family, city, state and country interests will be advanced only by moral methods of conduct, and life will prove more happy and more worth-while if these moral methods rule. Sincerely yours, Principal.
