Active Leaders Win Friends IN THE ACTION school are many an inspir- ed educator, but at the top of the list is Princi- pal John C. Waters. Not only does he find satis- factory solutions to Central's problems, but he also clears away obstacles so that many of these problems never really arise. With his co-workers in the administration, Mr. Waters never underrated the CeHS students, always he gave them leadership that placed the chal- lenge right before them, where it belonged. Every student with an idea was heard, every student group that wanted to promote an ac- tivity got the benefit of a fair hearing. Even the editor of the school paper was pleasantly surprised when he cleared a controversial article with the office and got the go ahead sign. Backed by enthusiasm, fair play, and genuine interest, it's little wonder our students regard the administration as the best possible. Principal John C.
