Class of '59 The Iunior Class of '59 has the distinction of being the first class that will graduate from Central High. Though small in number, the juniors have been well represented in school activities and in student government. The class had two main money-raising projects. They sold pop-corn balls and volunteered to pay class dues. The class officers, who were Steve Silver, President lim Gafke, Vice-Presidentp Lynda Mor- ris, Secretaryp and Margaret Harford, Treasurer, along with the Class Council and the Advisory Board, worked hard to support their class and to promote loyalty among the juniors. Several juniors received various awards and recognition this year, all of which go towards making their class a leading one. They are fortunate in being the first class for two years, since there were no seniors at Central this year. The highlight of the year for the juniors was the Surfer's Swing , the junior class swim- ming and dancing party. Held from 9-l2.UU P.M. on May 24th, the party at the Terrace Club was a complete success. All in all, their first year at Central was a rewarding one, and they are hoping that their last one will be equally successful. But, all this could not have been achieved with out adult lead- ership and helpfulness backing it up, and these qualities were generously' applied by their two willing and able sponsors-Mrs. B. H. Grevenberg and Mr. Edward Herzberg. A generous vote of thanks is dedicated to these sponsors by the juniors. Our Officers Steve Silver, President: Margaret Harford, Treasurer.
