V, ,, M ... . f--v---ew -1 What was one of the biggest days in your high school year? Home- coming Day! In the after- noon, there were all kinds of fun activities to do. Then, that night, came the crowning of the Home- coming Queen. During the afternoon- festivities, there were booths and refreshments sponsored by various clubs and other groups, such as the Senior class, FHA, Orchestra, HERO, Soph- omore class, DECA, and the Juniorettes. 8 Homecoming Day The Student Council also planned a Talent Show, dance, and Con- vertible Parade for the Homecoming Court. The HPC band led the parade as the convertibles drove through the driveway and dropped the Court mem- bers off at the Tower 2 steps and continued out. For all at Central, Homecoming Day will be as memorable through the years as the Bison victory over Andrews. Without these happenings, some stu- dents would find school more difficult. From 1927 to l938, dancing was not approved by the school board and it wasnlt included in the cur- riculum. No Prom. As the years went by, we gradual- ly added activity upon ac- tivity. Central has been building its foundation since the birth of the school, and it is evident in every aspect of school life.
