ALL SMILES FOR In an attempt to mold tradition with changing times, the Junior and Senior classes decided to have a Prom this year. Because of a lack of student interest, the Prom had been discontinued for sev- eral years, but the officers of the respective classes felt that the interest had been revitalized and, by the looks of things, they were right. Planning for the event began far in advance with such monumental tasks as choosing a band, finding a site, and deciding on a menu. There was a great deal of hard work involved in the prepa- ration, but as the fateful day drew nearer, it all began to seem worth it. The dinner-dance was held on the evening of Friday, May 10, at the TOP OF THE MART. The featured entertainment was Cut Glass, providing an abundance of rock, ““oldie-goldie’’, and soul. To the students of Central, the year was full of memories; and for many of them, the 1974 Prom had to be one of the best. THE PROM BELOW — Couples arrive, impatient to get on the dance floor. The play, dealing with the zany Sy- camore’s humorously complicated antics, was well received by large crowds.
