P. Whit- ley, administrative leaders of High Point High School have shown how guidance for problems, successful class work, and direc- ted activity participation yield dividends. As superintendent of city schools, Dr. Pruette made important decisions concern- ing High Point's educational system. He worked with the school board and various faculty members to make his decisions to the best advantage. Mr. Whitley, whose school year began last spring with the registration of students, worked during the summer at arranging a schedule for sixty teachers and 1,700 stu- dents. Throughout 1958-59 his days were filled with the duties of advising and coun- seling to make High Point High School func- tion smoothly.
