Typical of most high schools we were great football enthusiasts and cheered the local team at every game. Qur defeats were taken in stride and we were consoled by the fact that Notre- Dame's thirty-nine game winning streak was halted by Purdue in Qctober. Before the opening of football season while the coach was conditioning the team, photography for the annual was begun. Mr. Schimenti, the photog- rapher, found little difficulty in posing the girls with their short hair and much less attention was required by the boys who wore the popular crew-cut.
