OREWGRD ealizing that a world without honor is a world shrouded in darkness, we, the staff of the 1950 PEMICAN, present to you, the students of High Point High School, a yearbook dedicated to the fulfilling of our dreams for honor throughout the world. We not only desire to have honor in our own community, but to send the light of honor throughout the entire world. It is for us who are blessed to help those who are torn apart. With all thought for the future, let us never forget our eventful days in high school, for they have been wonderful, in fact, the happiest we shall ever experience. Our thoughts and actions for this year are here recorded in both words and pictures, may we long remember lest we soon forget. We have here-to-fore made our school what it is, let us now, as individuals, strive to create for our posterity the kind of world portrayed in our youth- ful dreams. FOR COURAGE to meet I.iIe's every need n the schools of today are the leaders of to- morrow. Our faculty at H.P.H.S. has realized this, and uncomplaining they have worked with us giving their personal time to our problems, however menial they may have been. We must be ready when the time comes to shift the re- sponsibility of world affairs to our shoulders. We must have help in the long and careful preparation for this time. Unflinchingly our teachers have accepted the challenge and have not once shirked their self-appointed duty. And so we pay tribute to the courage with which our administration meets life's every need.
