At Christmas, the S.C.A. collects food from each homeroom and prepares Christmas boxes for needy families. FROM THESE ROOTS ... the Students of Central High School build strong characters for their future years by pledging allegiance to the flag. S.C.A. ACTIVITIES Each year, the S.C.A. President awards letters to those who have obtained the standard twenty-five points required by the point system. 37

FROM THESE ROOTS . . . the students at Central High learn leadership and responsibility through their work on the council. The purpose of the S.C.A. is to increase respect for school and private property, to promote courtesy and general good citizenship on the school grounds, in the building and on the buses. Two of their projects they carried through with much success was making a basket of food for a needy family at Christmas and collecting money and making a donation to a needy fund.
