A Cappella Choir A Cappella Choir, Central,s top vocal music organization, is composed of 80 voices, all primarily upperclass- men. The 1966-67 choir functioned un- der the direction of L. D. Schuler and its president, Mark Zalkin. This year A Cappella revived the old Central tradition of presenting an operetta. A successful production of Die Fledermausv was performed on December 8, 9, and 10. Participation in Teachers' Conven- tion, All-City Music Clinic, and Road Show was included on the busy sche- dule of A Cappella. The choir also pre- sented the Spring Concert and concerts at George W. Norris and Lewis and Clark Junior High Schools. A

Madrigals A Madrigal choir is a section of a larger choir that performs certain parts of the musical selection apart from the rest of the group. Central's Madrigal Choir Was formed this year under the direction of Mr. Ronald Miller. The twenty-four members of the Madrigals are chosen from the Begin- ning Choir on the basis of tryouts. They perform at the same time as Beginning Choir, in such activities as the Christ- mas Program, P.T.A. Meetings, and the Spring Concert.
