SECOND ROW: Ed Zelinsky, John Bonaiuto, Mark Wilson, Debbie Clark, Lee Dinsmore, Candy Roth, Barby Olson, Dave Cain, Bob Bernstein, Dave Dinsmore. Maynard Belzer. We Student Council members would rather switch than fight. Central High's Student Council, which consists of seven seniors, seven juniors, and six sophomores, is elected by the student body to represent them in school affairs. The many activities of this year's Council included the Homecoming Dance, sock hops, Bermuda Shorts Day, the Teachers' Christmas Tea, and the Alumni Tea. They organized the Stu- dent Council Scholarship, arranged for Central to sponsor a child in Viet Nam and elected the Teacher of the Year. To promote school spirit, the Coun- cil sold victory ribbons for the games and presented pep rallies. The Student Council was active in the Intra-City Student Council. The members also attended the State Coun- cil Convention and took part in EX- change Day. 7

LEFT T0 RIGHT: Marla West, Sam Nocita, Elmer Reeves, Debbie Clark, Mary Grube, Nancy Evans, Glenn Pelecky Candy Roth, Steve Bunch, Greg Stejskal, Stan Wisnieski, Susan Rosseter, Jim Leach sc and and then my new dress has lace on the sleeves The exciting festivities of Central High School's Fifth Annual Homecom- ing were celebrated on November 4 and 5. The activities began on Friday with a spirited eighth hour pep rally. That night the Eagles' football team fought strongly against the Tech High Trojans, but lost, 13-6. The halftime ceremonies of the game included marching by the band and the introduction of Queen Candidates and their escorts. The climax of the weekend arrived Saturday night with the crowning of Nancy Evans and Steve Bunch as the 1966 Homecoming Queen and King, at the Homecoming Dance, presented by the Student Council at the Prom Town House.
