ATTer elecTions in laTe January, six sophomores ioined seven seniors and seven juniors To bring ToTal Council membership To 20. This year STudenT Council parTicipaTed in Two lnTra-' ciTy STudenT Council Exchange days, Nov. I5 and Mar. I4. On These days each oT The Tive Omaha schools senT dele- gaTes To The oTher schools To compare and conTrasT academic TeaTures. During NaTionaI EducaTion Week in November, The Council sponsored a FaculTy CoTTee beTore school. On Dec. 22 The Second Annual Alumni Tea was held, enabling Tormer CenTral sTudenTs To visiT wiTh previous Teachers and To renew old acquainTances. The CenTraI represenTaTives cooperaTed wiTh The lnTra- ciTy STudenT Council SaTe-Driving CornmiTTee To organize an eTTecTive program To increase saTeTy in The schools. The STudenT Council is consTanTly endeavoring To pro- moTe school spiriT by selling purple and whiTe beanies or by organizing and presenTing pep rallies, The Nebraska AssociaTion oT STudenT Councils conven- Tion was held in Columbus, Nebraska, Nov. l2. Trudy Erwin and David Adams were delegaTes. Bill AbernaThy, NASC presidenT, presided over The assembly. In addiTion To iTs maior acTiviTies, The Council aids The adminisTraTion in many unnoTiced ways: Tor example, iT ushered Tor boTh College NighT and Career NighT This year.
