As only one member is graduating, and the star runner, Paul Durham, is returning, the 1979 team looks to be outstanding. Their record this year was the best they've had in four years. 24

Cross-Country Skiing Despite limited participation, Central's ski teams, led by captains Dana Rasmussen and Jon Furlow, managed to post 5-4 and 4-5 records, respectively. Coached by Richard Hunt, the team's outstanding performers were Anne Gilbertson, who scored 10th in the city, and Jon Furlow, who placed 5th in the city and made the all-confercnce team. The entire team worked together to take 5th in the relay meets. ROW 1: Anne Gilbertson, Michelle Franchett, Dana Rasmussen-capt., Jenny Blake, Kim Sturgeon.
