HOMECOMING COMMITTEE, F.T.A. Karen Miller. Sherry Howell, and Wendy Keller dress in finery from yesteryear for Homecoming. The Homecoming Committee was composed of students who wanted to make the 1966 Homecoming one of the most memorable and exciting events of the year. Although Homecoming was early, the committee, under the direction of Tom Falck and Devin Kalpiers, planned a colorful parade and an enjoyable program. The purpose of the Business Girls Club is to teach girls the necessary office relations. The group has visited various business establishments and gained a greater knowledge of business techniques. Another interesting project was the panel discussion given by Central graduates who are now involved in business careers. As a final event the Business Girls held a spring banquet to culminate their busy first year. Future Teachers guided by Mrs. Goodwill experienced a very active year. These students were taught the demanding role of the teacher and basic qualifications required for this profession. Through the use of movies and the interest of faculty members, this club has rapidly progressed in its first year of formation. Homecoming Committee: FRONT ROW: (I. Rcfd. I). Larson. This year an old club was revived at Central. The Drama Club gained a new advisor, Mrs. Moyle and also a new name, The Central Players. The Drama Club's main purpose is to give its members a basic background in the theatre. Members of the Creative Writing Club, under the direction of Mrs. Shutts, are a group of imaginative and hard working students who have the desire to write outside of the classroom. The activities of this group included the sponsoring of a Haiku contest and the sale of carnations on Valentine's Day to finance a banquet. Chess Club members gain a greater understanding of the fundamentals of the game under the guidance of Mr. Koch. These informal meetings stimulate competition and encourage games between players of similar ability. Difficult chess strategy demand concentration. Chn kni.itr .i early in the game?
