This club has accomplished many worthwhile projects and among them were the selling of medallions, holding an Apple Polishing Tea for teachers, style shows, and co-sponsoring the Snow Week Dance. Triettes is divided into five chapters which meet separately twice a month; a general meeting is held monthly. The purpose of Triettes is to build a fellowship of girls who are devoted to the task of maintaining Christian ideals in their personal and social living. OFFICERS: President, Bev Berg; V. For the next six days, they were on an exciting, momentous tour of Washington, D. C., and Williamsburg, Virginia. Of course, to go on such a trip, money was needed; and the club diligently sold candy to help raise funds. Two dances, the Turkey Twirl and the Washington Whirl, were held to help get money for the trip. The four qualifications for membership in our Honor Society are scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Ten percent of each graduating class is admitted, and they are distinguished with gold tassels on their caps at graduation. The officers of this organization are Rick Linnell, president, Diane Logan, vice-president, Carol Magnu- son, treasurer, and Bev Berg, secretary. They worked together with their advisor, Miss Grosz, to make this year a very successful one for the Honor Society. Their last activity of the year is the formal induction. It is held in the school during the evening and all the parents of the members are invited. At this meeting the new members are formally accepted into the group, and the names of the next year s officers are revealed. 19

Hl-Y The purpose of the Hi-Y is to create, maintain, and extend to the home, the school, and the community the high standards of Christian living. This club’s platform stresses clean scholarship, living, speech, and sportsmanship. The boys are proud of this platform, and they are loyal to the high standards of the club. The only qualification necessary for membership in the club is acceptance of the Hi-Y purpose and an agreement to cooperate with other members in carrying it out. NATIONAL FORENSIC LEAGUE . . . To acquire poise and self-assurance by active participation in public speaking is the primary aim of our National Forensic League. With Mrs. Stewart as faculty advisor and Valjean Amireault as president, the group has done its best to try and fulfill these goals. During the fall the main activity of the league is debate, preceded by discussion. This year’s topic for debate was American Foreign Aid. Spring activities include original oratory, humorous and serious declamation, interpretative reading, and extemporaneous speaking. ROW 1j Pedersen, Amireoolt. Mrs. Stewart, Knight. Becker.
