During the first holf of the yeor the choir mode a concert tour In which they song ot Mound. Woyzoto. and Excelsior. Our choir also gave the onnuol Ccntrolville Christmas Concert. During the second half of the yeor our choir gave an exchange concert with Edison, oppeorod in the Bond's Winter Concert ond gave their own Spring Concert. Centralville olso hos o fine second choir. Under the excellent direction of Mr. Harold Miles, our bond is fast becoming one of the best bands Centrolvillc has ever had. The bond has been very active this year, first oppearing of the homecoming festivities where they demonstrated their superb marching ability. More well-deserved praise wos brought to Centrolville when our band played along President Truman's route during his visit hero. The Centralville Bond has olso given much of its talent and time by playing at assembles, football ond basketball gomes, and many other school activities. During the first months of the new year, the bond gave a winter concert for the benefit of all the inhabitants of Centralville, their families, and their friends. Any person who hos attended ony of these octivities sorely knows that the Centralville Band is one of the best.

The council is made up of representatives elected once a year from our population. The Student Council is active in civic affairs and sponsors many social activities such os the Christmas dance, the Valentine's dance, and many others.
