A good companion, a staunch friend, a sympathetic adviser, a scholarly teacher, a steadfast support—all these things Miss Harris has for twenty-one years been to the students of Central High school. To us, the senior class of 1939, she has been as a stronghold. We have leaned upon her strength, and we have turned to her wisdom. She will ever live, an integral part of Central High school, into which she has built herself and her upright, uncompromising character. We honor her and we love her. May some part of her zest for life and her forthright personality flower in us, the sons and daughters of Central High school. “For us who knew you, dread of Death is passed!
