My dear Classmates: OUR voyage into life has just begun. We are now about to leave the small brig which takes us from shore and to embark upon a much bigger boat—that will take us into different ports of life. The training we have received to prepare us for this most eventful voyage is the result of the untiring patience of both our parents and our teachers. We can never repay them fully for what they have done for us. but we can show our appreciation by doing our very best to live up to their expectation of us. Since many of us will disembark into widely separated ports, we can never again hope to be united in one happy group. However, let us always keep the many beautiful friendships which we have formed in our school career. With loyalty to each other and pride in ourselves, let us forever be striving to reach the height of honor and to manifest true, clean lives. Sincerely, Your President, Ray Burge.
