Democracy today is at “the crossroads. Its perpetuity is in the keeping of the young men and the young women who arc graduating from the high schools of this country. Never was there a time when so many perplexing problems occupied the attention of our people. Never were so many big ideas in the minds of men and women. Never was clear thinking more needed than now. The aim of this school has been to develop in you a fine loyalty to country and the capacity to solve problems through accurate and clear thinking; that your lives may be richer, more wholesome, and “more productive of the things man needs both as a physical and a spiritual being.
