A (tribute tu (Central. Dear Central, to honor thee now we are come, And to thee all our homage we bear, Alma Mater, the noblest, the truest, the best, The fairest of all that is fair. Dear friendships in thee will ever be found, Rich treasures for soul and for mind; Thou hast sheltered us well from life’s perils and storms, And thy ties round our hearts thou hast twined. Our voices we raise in the highest acclaim, And our loyalty now to thee plight. We love thee, we’ll win thee bright laurels of fame, Thy honor we’ll keep fair and white. To enter the portals of Wisdom’s estate We are striving within thy broad halls, And slowly but surely we’re learning the way To answer aright when Life calls. We pray that good fortune may ever be thine In all that the future may bring. Dearest Central, thy praises, fond, loyal and true, Thru eternity clearly shall ring. We ne’er can forget thee.
