. MR. A. J. SWANN We, the 1959 senior class of Lanier High School, proudly dedicate this year- book to Mr. A. J. Swann. We believe that he is a principal without peer in loyalty and devotion to his scho ol. For his hard work, his great zeal, his ad- herence to Christian principles, aad his faith in us . . . we salute him. We know that Lanier was chosen for the Bellamy Award not only because of the accomplish- ments of its students and alumni, but also because of the excellence of its principal. We are especially grateful for his firm guiding hand and his deep interest in every part of the life of our school.

LASSETER He walks straight . . . his step is firm . . . his head is high . . . his eye, penetrating . . . his standards, hard and high . . . his methods, honorable . . . and his goal, fixed and definite. To his school he has given himself, and so these characteristics have become those of his school. To each of us at Miller he has lived these qualities, and in us he has brought out and encouraged all that is straight and strong and true. In deep ,appreciation for a man who lives his faith and gives to us his philosophy and believes in us, we the seniors of 1959 dedicate this book to you, our principal, Mr. H. S. Lasseter.
