HISTORY The last touch of parnt has been applred the product has been polrshed the veneer rs complete all that remarns IS the stamp of approval September of 1954 saw the arrrval of a new shrpment of raw materral the class of 59 The frrst year was spent rn preparrng us for the four year stretch whrch lay ahead The drz zy whrrl of processrng had begun The bluepnnts of our school lrfe were drawn our freshman year the goals and rdeals determrned the foundauon of study lard We experrenced the thrrll of changrng classes and of havrng drfferent teachers We yorned varrous clubs and some of our fold were lucky enough to represent us on the basketball court Our rnterest rn school lrfe was expandrng ast We mrght not have been learned or sophrstrcated but we were Sophomores We had the feelrng of self confrdence and Importance and as all of our teachers wrll vouch made ourselves known It was durrng thrs year that the meanrng of co operatron was rn snlled LH us and we saw the necessrty of workrng together Our Jumor year found us nursrng qurte a few headaches our brggest berng the problem of rarsrng money for our Jumor Senror prom We sold Chrrstmas cards to all who needed them and to some who drdn t staged the Iumor play Hrllbrlly Courtshrp and worked lrke honorrng the senrors was held on May 2 How could we ever forget that bundle of energy Mrs Grrzzard! We owe the success of thrs mght to her We drdn t know the seventy of a headache untrl we reached our fmal year publrshrng an annual doublrng our efforts and trrplrng our energres at the Halloween Carnrval present mg the semor play rarsrng money for our semor trrp and berng drgmfred But rt was worth each ache and parn The frrst thrrll came early rn the year when we recerved our long awarted for class rrngs, whrch we now wear wrth prrde But the hlgh lrght of our semor year was our mp to New York The walk through Chrnatown the boat rrde to the Statue of Lrberty the tour of the Umted Natrons Burldrng, and the experrence of a Broadway play wrll be forever rmbedded rn our memory Then came graduatron day Frve years had seemed such a brref span We ll mrss Mr Mac s algebra class the thnll of berng on a wmnrng basketball team the rush to beat the late bell to class the companronshrp of fellow students at lunch the scramble at our lock ers durrng class breaks and all the thrngs whrch have been part of our darly lrves here at Central We hope as we go out to meet the challenges of the world that we the class of 59 w1ll always hold hlgh the standards whrch were set for us at Central l-hgh Hrstorran . .
