'57 CLASS HISTORY We senxors have srghted our sheepsklns our cue for the f1na1 CXII We shall never forget that September day f1ve years ago when we arrtved at Central greener than green Before long however we were berng taught folk dancrng by Mrs Crmerro The brggest thrxll of that year came when we were allowed to partrcxpate rn a basketball game agamst the varsxty to rarse money toward the purchasmg of a record player for the school As freshmen the four year stretch of work rmposed on students seemed a long trme but to pass our txme and make our days at Central happler we Jorned varrous clubs and gave our frrst Mother Daughter and Father Son banquets We felt qurte smug and rmportant over the fact that we were no longer freshmen but sophomores! We had lost that feelrng of awe and had taken tn xts place one of responsrbrhty and self confrdence Before the fxual curtain was brought down tradgedy struck and we lost one of our classmates Donnre Lou Guy Three down and one to go! we sang our junror year Orderxng rmgs plannmg our Junror Semor prom stagmg of Pleased to Meetcha and a frnal flrng at Whrte Lake made our Jumor year one we shall never forget The curtarn rrses for the last trme and thrs year proves to be our greatest and happlest the year in whrch we recerve out class rlngs and two of our fold recerve addlttonal ungs bands of gold sell cats and collards at the Halloween Carnrval enter essay and speech contests present Rest Assured tour Washrngton and New York and last but not least recerve our coveted sheepsklns CLASS FLOWER CLASS cotorzs Whrte Carnatron Red and Whne CLASS MOTTO Today we follow tomorrow we lead I . . . . 1 I ' I I - 1 . 9 I I I .
