Bas! anof gesfamefzf State of North Carolina County of Cumberland Central High School We, the Class of 1955, of the aforesaid state, county and school, being of strong bodies and sound minds, realizing that we shall soon depart from our Dear Old Central Hi to begin duties in various fields of our profession, do hereby make and declare this to be our last Will and Testament and do will and bequeath our vices, virtues, and our most highly esteemed possessions to members of the incoming Senior Class, and to others of interest thereabout Central High School. ARTICLE I To each member of the Junior Class, we bestow our good times, a successful Senior Play, Class Night, our love for Central High School and all the hours of happiness we have enjoyed while we were still Seniors. ARTICLE I1 To Mr. D. S. McCormick, we, the Seniors, will our gratitude for his kindness, his interest, and his consideration during our five years at Central. We shall never forget his inspirational charac- ter. His influence will be of great benefit to us. To Mrs. Kathryn McLamb, for her patience and understanding, her constant interest, and her unlimited efforts as our Senior Sponsor, we leave our deep gratitude and undying devotion. May your success be endless and your prosperity twice as long. To Mrs. Sarah Sheaffer, we, the Seniors, will our gratitude for her interest and all the work and planning she has put into our annual. She has been especially helpful and considerate to us. To Mrs. Catherine Matthews, we, the Seniors, leave our thanks for all the help she has been. We feel that in her we have had a true friend, upon which we could call at any time. We leave to Mrs. Betty Bland our love. We thank her for her interest and all the help she has been in our activities. We leave to Mrs. Belle Townsend our love and appreciation for her kindness during all our years at Central. We thank her for her leadership in the Beta Club. To Mr. David Johnson, whom Central would not be the same without, we the Seniors leave our gratitude for his influence, interest and help. - To Mr. Harry McMillan, we leave our gratefulness for a successful ball team and for all he has meant, not only to the athletic activities, but also in the classroom. To Mr. Patrick O'Neal, we, the Seniors, will our appreciation for his instruction as Science and Math teacher. We will him our best wishes for all the years of his teaching career. We shall remember him as making our senior year a more enjoyable one. We, the Seniors, leave to Mr. W. S. Boyd our appreciation for the help he has been in all our activities. We feel confident to call upon him for any construction work.
