John Pierson-Tackle Rgn Parke,--End Game Captain Game Captain 101 The Little Maroons opened their 1953 football schedule by trouncine the Gol- den Eagles from Aberdeen at Public Schools' Stadium, Aberdeen drew first blood early in the second quarter by plunging over tor a touchdown from the two-yard line. Later in the same period Kenny Baker, Little Maroon halfback, scainpered -ll yards behind excellent blocking to tie the score. Again Baker scored, this time in the third quarter, with an 8-yard end run, The final score came in the tourth quarter when Bob Clark pitched an 18-yard aerial to end Dick Kronimenhoek for a touchdown. The excellent play of the Central line seemed to be the margin of victory. Fine defensive play was also turned in by Ron Barnes, sophomore halfback.
