MR. JOHNSON Mr. Johnson has gained popularity at the ranch as assistant foreman to Mr. Heitman. Besides his work at this job, Mr. Johnson is also advisor to Student Council. This takes much of his time and energy, and he is well liked by all members of Student Council for the aid and encouragement he has always given them. Mr. Johnson is usually good humored and friendly, but he objects to people using their voices in loud tones. His favorite meal consists of meat and po- tatoes, and, after this meal, he would like to settle down with a good book on philosophy. MR. HEITMAN The big boss of the old M, and W. is our principal, Mr. Heitman. On his shoulders he has carried the burdens and worries of the school for thirty-five years. His interest and participation in student affairs and his dilligence in Working for the school have long been noted by his students. Pop, as he is known to his pupils, is well liked for his cooperation in handling matters of controversy. No matter what the issue, Mr. Heitman could be counted on to present a fair decision. Everyone of us should realize that it is a big job to run a ranch the size of ours. Also, there are many strays and wild colts that have to be kept in hand. And no one has done the job any better than Foreman, t'Pop' Heit- man.

MAUREEN BREYFOGLE- GRETCHEN FRATT-R6giS- Secretary. traf- MR. STEVENS Mr. Harold Stevens is the sheriff for the young cowboys on the ranch. As Dean of Boys, he advises and guides his boys concerning all walks of school life. So capable and fair is he, that he is admired by the whole school. Besides his job as Dean of Boys, Mr. Stevens has re- ceived all round applause as basketball coach, for he took his boys to state last year. Outside of school, his interests are quite varied. His greatest enjoyment is a big steak dinner with all the trimmings, and after dinner, his pastime is to settle down with his favorite magazine, Time. MISS FRY The sheriff for the girls is Miss Lenore Fry. As Dean of Girls, Miss Fry checks absences and writes admit slips, occasional-ly running across her pet peeve, girls who sign their mother's names to excuses. Besides working with the girls, Miss Fry serves as the capable advisor of Friendship. One of her favorite hobbies is woodshop which she is learning at night school.
