119351 Castles-at the sound of the word one's mind immediately he- gins to draw pictures of gallant knights in armor and ladies with billowing skirts and jewels. Every- one dreams of these castles with their handsome knights and beau- tiful ladies. hilt we of Central donit need to dream. We have our Castle! Long has Central been known far and wide as the hflastle on tht- Hill! It is no wonder then that we have chosen The Castle as the theme for the 1016 Nlaroon and White. The streamlined ladies and the modern knights of our school dif- fer in many ways from those in the days of chivalry, but they up- hold the ideals of the knights and ladies of old by carrying on Cen- tral's fine reputation. honor. and traditions. Our castle. like castles of old. contains great halls. There is the uaudw where our castle life is cen- tered. It is in this great hall that the knights and ladies of Central congregate at different times of the day. The banquet hall. better known as the lunchroom. where students leisurelyt?l eat their lunches, is familiar to everyone. The music halls are filled with ac- tivity, and strains of modern bal- lads echo throughout the castle the whole day. The action in the gym can be compared to the thrill- ing tournaments that were enjoyed by knights and ladies of old. We are proud of our Castle and believe that we are justified for this feeling. We are proud that Central's very structure suggests the beauty. d i g n i t y . wisdom. warmth, and happiness which it carries within its walls. We are proud of the name that The Castlei' has made for itself. and proud of the knowledge that its good name will continually im- prove in the future.
