There was a small high school deparTmenT in souThern lv1innesoTa wiTh an enrollmenT oT Twelve pupils in The'ninTh and TenTh grades. LaTer There was ThaT larger high school deparTmenT locaTed along The Mississippi River. Six years during The Depression were diTTiculT Tor These small schools as well as aTTempTs Tor The Teach- er-principal To geT TurTher Training. Toward The close oT The Depression There was ThaT inTeresT in a large junior high school and research in educaTion. fXTTer Three and one-halT years There was an inTerlude in graduaTe school. Then There was a high school in souThern Georgia which was connecTed wiTh a Teachers college. For Three years, The responsibiliTies Tor Training sTuclenTs To Teach in high school was a TascinaTing experience. A year in KenTuclcy's Blue Grass region helping sTudenTs prepare To Teach in high school was challenging. The pupils came Trom homes where raising race horses was The occupaTion. From The SouTh To The wesTern Tip oT Lake Superior was a major move. Here, Tor Twelve years, The roles oT supervisor and superinTendenT were played. Having opporTuniTies To help high school pupils Through These years has been rewarding. To be able To share in This responsibiliTy in Sheboygan This year and in The TuTure is a charge mosT welcome.
