And, il the reverse is true, that a modern school system is indicative ol an up-to-date city, Sheboygan is a line exemplilication ol this quality. Mr. l-lenry Earl Smith, superintendent oi schools, whose ol'lice is located in the Central l-ligh School building, is the leader ol a large group ol teachers, lrom primary through high school, vvho are bending all their eiiorts to erect a solid luture irom an unstable present. Believing that student leadership is essential in the build- fm. army, .aw swzz. sufzefuln-fentieh-f I-If ing oi citizenship, Mr, Arthur l-l. lVlennes and Nlr. Jacob J. De Waard, in addition to their many other duties, spend much time vvorlcing vvith the students. Their Willingness to vvorlc out problems to the common satisfaction is just another reason for the Friendly spirit at Central. Mr. Arthur H.
