Knowledge, understanding, and a sense of humor, are the three basic characteristics of a teacher. Their range and fields of knowledge do vary, but understanding and humor are always constant. Such a devoted man is Mr. Cripe. This was his last year at Central High School. His interest in the students of Central has been marked by the work he has done with them. He has been a past Interlude faculty advisor, advisor of the Junior Academy of Science, and has just finished his final year as advisor of J.E.T.S., a science or- ganization. His devotion to science, education, and Central will long be remembered by his students and the faculty. Mr. Cripe taught his last classes at Central this year. Our Quest For Knowledge ,,,,.,- This isn't quite the way to study, but it did come in handy for a few less industrious students. Although the teacher is the primary tool in educa- tion, the final results are tallied by the students them- selves. In our classes we may either learn or waste time. Learning requires interest as well as aptitude. In time we discover the correct habits and methods of learning and put them to use. We find that we must keep alert. Class hours are the most important ones we spend at Central. Our interests and inquisitive minds find fulfillment in the classes we attend.
